Whitchurch, Hampshire - A Town where Walkers are Welcome

Whitchurch Rambling Club

Whitchurch Rambling Club

This friendly local walking group has been established for over 50 years. Walks take place on Monday evenings, between April and September.

Meet in the Bell Street Car Park by 19.00 – some weeks the group car share to get to the start of the walk and to return to Whitchurch afterwards.

This year there will also be 5 Sunday morning walks that offer you the opportunity of a pub lunch at the end of the walk. Meet in the Bell Street Car Park by 10.00 for car sharing to the start point.

The club also organises several social events during the year and a very popular ‘walking weekend’ break.

Whitchurch Walking for Health

Since 2009, Whitchurch has been a part of the national Walking for Health scheme, and free walks take place every Wednesday morning.

Meet at the Gill Nethercott Centre, adjacent to the Silk Mill, at 9.45 for registration. The walks depart at 10.00 am.

Two walks are offered each Wednesday, a short walk of about an hour and a longer, brisker walk which normally lasts around 90 minutes (sometimes a bit longer).
